Don't miss this incredible evening of powerful music from around the world. Come hear Iranian multi-instrumentalist Kamyar Arsani (aka Faraway Ghost) and Indian-American percussionist Ravish Momin (AKA Sunken Cages) create their own brand of digital folk music, inspired by Sufi poetry, street rhythms from Mumbai and infused with electronic sound design to frame their songs. Kamyar was also active in the Women/Freedom/Life movement in Iran and continues to advocate for social-justice causes. Joining Kaymar and Ravish will be Pittsburgh-based Social Justice Disco, comprised of music-veterans Phat Man Dee (voted Best Jazz Performer in Pittsburgh City Paper Readers’ Poll for multiple years) & Liz Berlin (founding member of triple-platinum selling band Rusted Root), have continued to push musical boundaries to craft songs inspired by Folk, Disco, Jazz and global music traditions. The NY Faerie Festival is a Nature loving and family friendly event set in rural New York State just east of Binghamton. Fairies, elves and fantastic creatures gather in wooded hollows between the Finger Lakes and the Catskill mountains. With enchanting music and colorful pageantry they invite you to join them in celebrating nature's wonders and the magic of imagination. Liz Berlin and Phat Man Dee will perform sets of their own material and Social Justice Disco!!

We Rock Workshop Album Drop and Celebration!

Join Creative Life Support and We Rock Workshop for a concert performed by the students of Liz Berlin, Big Jus, and Phat Man Dee, as they perform music recorded over pandemic in zoom classrooms, as well as in person at Mr Smalls Recording Studio with Larry Luther and Nate Campisi. These original songs were written and composed in zoom, at the 412 Youth Zone, Mr smalls Recording Studio, and Tonic Studio. The youth students are foster, homeless, and independent living youth from Allegheny County Department of Human Services. The show is FREE and includes dinner, just please RSVP!

Starwood 41 takes place from July 12th through July 18th, and is held in the beautiful nature preserve that is Wisteria Campground and Event Site in Pomeroy, Ohio.

The Midwest's oldest event of its kind, Starwood offers: • A week long line-up of classes, workshops, and ceremonies offered by prominent teachers in their diverse fields. • A melting pot of live performances by world renowned and local artists, drum and dance circles, music jams, and spontaneous free range creative exploration. • Our infamous Saturday night Bonfire, and so much more...

Onsite amenities include: food vendors, swimming, hiking, hot showers, the kid village and co-op child care, family friendly camping in a beautiful private site, and a camp wide transport system. Starwood is a clothing optional event.

Join us for this special event to focus continued attention on the need to protect our natural resources and to defend the rights of indigenous Americans.

Social Justice Disco presented by 91.3FM WYEP and Pittsburgh Cultural Trust

Join Social Justice Disco for an electrifying night of message music! The revolution will not be televised but it will have a solid groove! With pomp, circumstance, ecologically sourced non-feather boas, and more sequins that you can shake a glitter covered stick at, Liz Berlin and Phat Man Dee look forward to singing at the City Theatre Drive-In Arts Festival on September 27th, 2020 to original backing tracks which feature some of Pittsburgh's finest musicians. There’ll be special guest appearances by Pastor Deryck Tines, MC's Big Jus and HollyHood, and dancer Sundae Service, and they’ll also be showing the world premiere of their new music video for “Mni Wiconi (Water Is Sacred) featuring Johnny Creed Coe & Family.

There are no walk-up sales at the venue. All tickets must be purchased in advance by 5pm on the performance day.

$25 per person (While you can have up to 4 people in your car, the best viewing and audio will be from the front seats)
